Salvation
In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to get to heaven? Consider how the Bible answers this question. It is a matter of FAITH
F is for Forgiveness
Everyone has sinned and needs God's forgiveness. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "The penalty of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
A is for Available
God's forgiveness is available for all. "God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
I is for Impossible
According the the Bible, it is impossible to get to heaven on our own. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
T is for Turn
To turn means to change directions, to repent. Turn away from your sins and turn to Jesus Christ alone as your Savior and Lord. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6)
H is for Heaven
Heaven is the place where we will live with God for eternity. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:3)
Today is the day of salvation. Salvation is more than a destination. It is a life-long journey with Jesus Christ, the Son of God. If you believe in your heart Jesus died for you, turn from your sins and ask Him to forgive you and be your Lord and Savior. Then tell someone of this important step of faith you have taken. You will grow in your walk with the Lord through prayer and Bible Study. I encourage you to find a local church and become a part of God's Work.
